Stalwart Runners events are outdoor road races and may proceed in light rain or cool temperatures. In the event of severe weather (lightning, extreme heat, dangerous wind, or other conditions posing a safety risk), the race director reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel the event. Participant safety is always the first priority. Updates will be communicated via the official event site and email notifications.

Before registering, please keep the following in mind:

• No headphones policy: for safety on the course, headphones are not permitted during the race.
• No pets allowed on the race course.
• Service animals are permitted with proper documentation.
• Participants must wear their assigned race bib visibly at all times.
• Participants must obey all traffic signals, course marshals, and park regulations.
• Appropriate footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are the participant's responsibility.

A signed waiver form is mandatory for all participants. The waiver covers inherent risks of road racing including but not limited to falls, collisions, heat exhaustion, dehydration, and cardiac events. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate and should consult a healthcare provider if in doubt.

If you are unable to attend the expo, you may authorize someone else to pick up your packet on your behalf. A photo ID is preferred to help us ensure packets are distributed to the correct participant. You may also pick up your packet on race morning. Please note that a race morning pickup fee applies, and event shirts will not be available at that time. If shirts are still available after the race, you may pick yours up after you finish.

If you cannot attend packet pickup and do not have someone who can collect your packet for you, race-day packet pickup is available at the Information Tent for an additional fee of $15.00 or more (cash preferred). Please refer to your specific race event page for the applicable race-day pickup fee.

Events welcome participants of all running abilities: walkers, joggers, and runners alike. Participants must meet the minimum age requirement for each distance, with details confirmed at registration. Minors must have a parent or guardian complete the waiver. Youth and Kids Run events have separate age and supervision requirements. All levels are welcome regardless of pace or experience.

Yes — all participants must complete and sign a waiver form before taking part in any Stalwart Runners event or club program. The waiver acknowledges the inherent risks associated with running, outdoor activities, and program elements including grounding and laughter yoga sessions. Participation is not permitted without a signed waiver on file.

Youth and kids fun run options may be included as part of select Stalwart Runners events. Where youth participation is available, it follows Safe Sport Act guidelines to ensure a safe and supervised environment for minors. Parents and guardians are encouraged to run along, read event-specific details regarding youth participation and age requirements.

Stalwart Runners takes the safety of all participants seriously, especially minors. Youth events and activities adhere to applicable Safe Sport Act guidelines, ensuring a safe, positive, and supervised experience. No headphones are permitted during race events for participant safety. This policy applies to all participants on the course. We ask everyone to stay aware of their surroundings, fellow runners, and course marshals throughout the event.

Pets are not permitted on the course, and we strongly discourage bringing pets to the start and finish areas. Pet owners are solely responsible for their pets and their behavior at all times, and leashes can create tripping hazards for runners and spectators. For the safety of your pet and all race participants, we recommend leaving pets at home. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Certified and registered service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law. Owners of service animals should ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone.

Stalwart Runners is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you lose an item during the event, please visit the Stalwart Runners Information Tent to check whether it has been turned in. To keep every event safe, fair, and enjoyable for all participants, please note the following:

Family and friends are encouraged to cheer on participants along the course. Please choose viewing locations that allow safe driving and parking without interfering with runners or race operations. Park only in designated parking areas or parking lots, and do not park along the race course or in areas that may obstruct runners. Spectators are responsible for their own safety and parking arrangements.

No. Strollers are not allowed on the course for the safety of both the children in the strollers and all race participants. Thank you for your understanding.

No. Bicycles, scooters, roller skates, skateboards, and other wheeled devices are not permitted on the course. No exceptions.

Adults and older siblings are welcome to run alongside participating children without registering. However, only participants 12 years old and younger are eligible to receive a race shirt and finisher medal.

No. The race will take place rain or shine and will not be canceled due to weather conditions.

The cutoff time for most half marathon events is 3 hours and 15 minutes. For races shorter than a half marathon, participants must maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile or faster. Marathon events may have a cutoff time of 6 hours. In some situations, participants who fall significantly behind the required pace may be transported ("leapfrogged") to another point on the course to continue participating safely. Half marathon events include an official cutoff pacer, and participants must remain with the cutoff pacer to continue receiving on-course support.

Yes. All Stalwart Runners events are professionally timed. Your timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib, so please do not bend, fold, wrinkle, or damage your bib, and do not place it in a pocket — wear it on the outermost layer of clothing. Your chip time begins when you cross the starting line, so there is no need to start at the very front of the race. Damaging the timing chip may result in inaccurate race results.

Awards for the top three overall male and female finishers are based on Gun Time, which is the elapsed time from the official start signal until the runner crosses the finish line. All other age-group and category awards are based on Chip Time, the actual time from when a runner crosses the start line until they cross the finish line. Timing chips are disposable and do not need to be returned.

Race results are available on display at the Results Trailer, as a printed personal results sheet at the Results Trailer, and online from the event page under the Results tab.

We work hard to make our courses as safe and runner-friendly as possible, which may include snow removal on portions of the course, sanding icy areas, and applying salt where conditions warrant. Despite these efforts, winter weather can create slippery conditions, including snow, ice, slush, and standing water. Participants should dress appropriately, use caution, and be especially careful on turns, hills, and sloped sections of the course. Your safety is important, and we encourage all runners to race responsibly based on current conditions.

Stalwart Runners only facilitates to raise a donations at events to benefit First Responder NGOs. Supporting first responders is not an add-on — it is a core mission of everything we do.
